The hunt is finally over. After an extensive operation involving the Gardai, the marine corps, civil defense and navy divers it was left to dog to find the coveted Astro League Division 5 trophy. The trophy was found wrapped in a newspaper (the Sunday Sport) at the bottom of a suburban garden hedge in Sunday’s Well, Cork by a dog named Elmo.
Elmo’s owner said “I’ve no idea how it ended up in the bottom of my garden – he’s such a clever dog!”. As a reward Elmo was presented with a giant bone!
